She remembered when she first met Itachi Uchiha. They had been in the same class. Everyone was gushing over how wonderful and talented he was and how lucky they were being in the same class as him. She didn't see what was so great about him, not then. She'd had been jealous.
One day, at the end of class, she challenged him to a fight. He accepted. That one fight had put her in her place. Her father always told her you could learn a lot about a person from just one simple fight. She learned a lot about Itachi. She wanted to be great, wanted to be recognized for her talents too. A few weeks later, she followed after Itachi.
"Itachi," she called after him. He stopped and glanced back at her. "I want to train with you," she said, not taking no for an answer. He could tell in her voice and by looking in her eyes how determined she was, so he accepted her company. The two of them trained everyday, every moment they could spare in Itachi's own little training grounds. They both excelled greatly. They also grew quite close.
"Tyra," Itachi said to her one day, "I am glad we have trained like this. It has made us both very strong."
"Yea," she smiled, "And helped me discover my tracking talents."
Tyra felt like she could really be herself with him, and he seemed to be completely different with her too. Tyra's brother, Kakashi could see it. They were definitely very close.
But how long would that last?

Been awhile since I wrote anything. This is based off a little RP I'm doing with someone. I will give them credit where its due, for now it's all me. Oh well aside from the names and characters that aren't Tyra. her last name is the only thing not mine as far as she is concerned. Hope you like it!
